CM Farms Spring Field Trip

9:20am, March 5, 2020

On the days that are reserved for field trips the general public is not allowed on the grounds during those hours.

~Please allow 2 1/2- 3 hours for all activities.

~Field trip rate only available to public, private and preschools.

~Parents and siblings are welcome; however, they must pay the same admission price as the students.

~The Country Store and Sweet Shoppe will be open for all guests to purchase souvenirs, candy, drinks, jellies, nuts and fudge.

~ The CONCESSION STAND will be open for ADULTS to purchase food. STUDENTS MUST BRING A SACK LUNCH!

~Extreme, unforeseen weather can force us to close at any time. If you are in doubt about the weather conditions, please check the weather magnet at www.cmfarmsllc.com or call 337-328-8916 before departing for CM Farms.

~Dress comfortably as if you are going camping. No sandals or flip flops. Wear shoes conducive to walking. Remember that you will be on a farm, so dress appropriately for the best experience. There is not a wind block from the cold fall/winter winds, so please advise students to dress warmly.

~Restroom facilities in the pavilion!!

~A Germ-X station is located next to the farm animals.

~CM Farms accepts cash, credit cards and School checks.

~What’s included for the $9.00 per student?

*Each STUDENT will be given a Spring on the Farm Activity Booklet.
*Students will learn about a plant's life cycle from seed to melon.
*Story time stroll thru the trees while reading the Story of Jellybean the baby chick.
*Meet the most adorable baby lambs and calves!
*Wagon Ride through the field to see the melon field and our cows and sheep.
*Lesson on the Wagon Ride about how animals and agriculture plays an important role in the students lives.
*Sand Pile with diggers
*Rubber Duck Races
*Dirt Mountain with culvert slide!
*Tire Pyramids
*Farm Animals (Educational signs posted about that animal)
*"Farm Animal" Barrel Train
*Picnic Area
*Country Store
*Photo Opportunities
*Jumping on our GIGANTIC JUMPING PILLOW!! Kids will LOVE bouncing around on this "trampoline on the ground!"
* A tour of our "Step Back In TIme" display of past farming tools, equipment, and Corn Crib dating back to the 1950's!
*Each STUDENT will receive a cup of feed to feed the animals.
