Canning Workshop with Small Batch Kitchens

Curious about water bath canning? Want to know how to preserve summer fruit to enjoy all winter long?

Join Sheila Rhodes, Owner of Small Batch Kitchen, for a hands-on water bath canning workshop making peach slices jarred in a light syrup.

As a group, we will prep our ingredients and go through the process of water bath canning a delicious jar of peaches made with Highland Orchards fruit. While our peaches are processing and cooling, we will discuss some general canning safety topics.

This is a hands on class, including chopping, cooking, and canning your very own jar of peaches. Peaches can be messy, so please bring an apron and feel free to bring your own paring knife to use during produce prep.

Every person will go home with an 8 oz jar of peach slices, plus the recipe and knowledge to make more at home!
