Gem Mining Tour

Thank you for choosing Pinehaven Farm for your upcoming field trip opportunity!

Farm Tour Includes:

Gem Mining Activity: Students will learn that rocks and minerals are a non- living material found in the ground. Students will get their hands wet by panning their “pay dirt” in our Gemstone Sluice. They will take their treasures they find back to the classroom to identify the rocks and gems as a class.

Visit Pinehaven Animals:  Feed and pet a variety of sheep, goats, donkeys, cows, and even see our peacocks!

Have Fun on the Farm: Play on a variety of playgrounds, swing sets, and giant slides!

Lunch: Students may bring a lunch and eat as a group. We have a picnic area for the whole group to sit and enjoy lunch or a snack on the farm.

All reservations are for a 2 1/2 hour time slot beginning at your selected start time. All groups must depart by 1:30pm.

Cost: $9.50 per student
$9.50 per parent/chaperone
For every 8 paid students you will get 1 teacher/school staff member in for free. All teachers and paid school staff must have their School Issued ID to get in free.

This tour is recommended for grades 1st-6th.

Teachers:  $0.00 per person
Adults:  $9.50 per person
Adults Paying Separately:  $0.00 per person
