Red Apple Farm PYO UPDATE 10/4/20

Columbus Day weekend Pick Your Own Apples will be very limited with most trees having top picking only. Although "tree picking" is wrapping up for the season we are offering a NEW and exciting open air package to explore the farm and "branch out" like never before. As well as offering a family hike complete with cider, donuts and a limited edition sticker.

Columbus Day Weekend OPEN AIR Package will include 2 of the best sugar pumpkins we've had all season, 3 pyo gourds, pyo decorative corn, pick your own JAPANESE LANTERN Bundle and a peck bags of apples, packed by us, to go home with. We can't have you leaving without apples.

Columbus Day weekend activities will include: Live music, Brew Barn & BBQ open all three days, family hike with Open Air package including cider, donut and a limited edition sticker for each participant, giant pumpkin weigh-in contest on Sunday, pick your own Japanese Lanterns and of course hot donuts all day.

Continuing through October and the rest of fall we are open daily with fresh baked goods, donuts, cider, fudge, apples, pyo pumpkins and all your holiday needs.

Due to the recent health emergency, we have had to change how we operate PYO for your safety and that of our staff. You will notice the following changes to our PYO procedures:

1. Customers must make a reservation in order to enter the fields for PYO. If you arrive at the farm without a reservation we can allow you to enter the field as long as we are not at capacity.
2. Payments are not taken on this reservation site. No credit card information is needed.
3. RED APPLE FARM WILL PROVIDE ALL CONTAINERS FOR PICK YOUR OWN.
4. Masks are required in the field.
5. Tasting fruit while picking is not permitted due to the health emergency.
6. Groups should stay together and maintain a 6-foot distance from other folks picking.
7. We ask that you wash your hands prior to and after picking. There are hand washing stations outside near the restrooms and under the deck behind the store.
8. After parking, please stop in the farm stand(Monday-Friday) or out front at the PYO stand (Saturday/Sunday) to sign in and prepay for apples.
9. If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 please plan on visiting another time. Apple picking normally lasts until the mid October, if we are lucky, so there is plenty of time to come back.
10. Finally, check your spam folder for reservation confirmation. Many people are finding it tucked away as spam.

Picking times will be published up to 48 hours in advance.

If you are running late, need to change your time or any other changes please email reservations@redapplefarm.com. We try our best to handle changes over the phone but it is extremely difficult.

Please refer to Massachusetts Board of Health guidelines regarding COVID-19 and PYO regulations.
